The purpose of the project was to strengthening the capacity of the authorities to manage asylum issues by developing unitary practices at a national level concerning the evaluation of asylum applications, based on national and European legislation.
Specific objectives:
• Debate on issues of interest in the asylum procedure, the definition and interpretation of relevant concepts and principles governing asylum field.
• Providing updated information on relevant EU Court of Justice and the ECHR case law in relation to migration and asylum;
• Consulting the relevant stakeholders involved in the asylum procedure on the problems encountered in practice, both at administrative and judicial level, identifying the gaps and
potential solutions.
The project’s target group is represented by the decision makers involved in the asylum procedure: judges, GII / DAI eligibility officers and legal advisers.
